My daddy and his cousin were song writers. They took their guitars and songs and went to Nashville against my mother's wishes. They were free spirits following their dreams, and I must have inherited these traits to pursue my own dreams. I see the world in an array of colors and absorb the feeling of a memory to paint on canvas. Using vibrant colors is my way of expressing feeling. Bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes covering the landscape in the spring, the spirit of a horse frolicking across the landscape in the morning sun, and the quiet scenes that bring memories to us all are the stories that are worth melding onto my canvas.

     Painting is a large part of my life that is portrayed in my oil and acrylics pieces. Having studied with several well-known artists, but Dalhart Windberg remains my favorite . I have attended many juried art shows including Houston's Bayou Fest, Deep Ellum in Dallas, Art Fest in Dallas, and Three Rivers Art Festival in Covington.
